‘Wheelie’ good effort by Littlehampton firefighter

PEDAL power proved to be the perfect way to provide a brighter future for needy communities across the globe on Friday (August 23).

Littlehampton-based retained firefighter Tim Batchelor pushed himself to the limit during a 12-hour cycle-a-thon, raising £579 for the Costa Foundation.

Tim, who works at Costa Coffee, in The Street, Rustington, pedalled from 7am until 7pm at the site, received more than £413 in donations on the day.

The money will be used to help the Costa Foundation build schools and improve communities where the company sources its coffee beans.
