Will your four legged friendbe top dog at annual show?


The event, presented under Kennel Club (KC) Rules and Regulations, is organised by the Hastings, St Leonards and East Sussex Canine Society in conjunction with the Markwick Gardens Association, St Leonards on Sea.
The popular event attracts a large crowd and last year around one hundred dogs were entered in the show. It is open to all dogs from the age of six months upwards. There are 18 classes ranging from child’s best friend to pedigree and crossbread. Puppies under 6 months old and bitches in season are not eligible. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times

Hide AdIn addition to the Dog Show, which will be Judged by Anne Walters, there will be a wide range of stalls selling a variety of items, a tombola, barbeque, refreshments and an ice cream van. Entry is free.
The cost to enter your pooch into the show is £1.50 per dog per class. Entries invited from 11am with judging at 12 noon.

Pedigree:
1. Puppy (6-12 months)
2. AV Sporting (Hounds, Gundogs, Terriers)
3. AV Non-Sporting (Working, Pastoral, Uility, Toy)
4. AV Open
Rosettes 1st-5th each class. Best in Show and Best Puppy. A Trophy donated by Markwick Gardens Association to be won outright by Best In Show Winner.
Novelty:
5. Fancy Dress
6. Best Rescue
7. Best Crosss Breed (non pedigree)

9. Best Veteran (7 years and over)
10. Best Long Coat
11. Best Short Coat
12. Prettiest Bitch

16. Irish Brace (pair of dogs most unlike each other)
17. Dog the Judge would like to take home (but wont!)
18. For any dog who has not won a first today (50p in the ring)
