Woman arrested after Littlehampton car crash

Wyn Ellis, of Fittleworth Gardens, Rustington, was arrested after the red Nissan Micra she was driving crashed into a Citroen Xsara and a Toyota Emina in Southfields Road, Littlehampton, at 12.15am on Tuesday (August 18).

A passenger in the Micra, a woman believed to be in her 30s, was trapped in the car's footwell by the force of the crash. Firefighters from Littlehampton freed her by removing the seat, and she was taken to

Worthing Hospital, with suspected leg and head injuries, by ambulance.

Ms Ellis, who was also taken to hospital, was charged with failing to provide a breath specimen to a police officer, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving with no insurance and careless driving.

She was released on police bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (August 26).
