A woman was found in the sea by Goring following a search by the emergency services.

According to Sussex Police, at 12.09am today (April 23), police received a report of a woman in the sea at Goring, near to Sea Lane.

A search operation began, with police being helped by the coastguard and the National Police Air Service helicopter to scour the coastline.

The woman was found in the sea, and rescued by the team.

She was then taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment for hypothermia.
