Woman rescued from trench in Winchelsea Beach

A woman was taken to hospital after falling into a water-filled trench near Winchelsea Beach.

Firefighters from Rye and Hastings were called to the scene at Pett Level Road just after 7.30pm on Tuesday (September 29).

A 58-year-old woman was rescued from the trench and taken to the Conquest Hospital with hyperthermia.
