Workshop to create Bognor Regis Carnival monster

A workshop to create a monster hit for this year's Bognor Regis Carnival is being held.

The session by Bognor Regis Community Arts will take place from 10am-3pm on Saturday, June 18, at The Lodge, in Hotham Park.

The organisation’s entry into the parade will be the Lagness monster.

Anyone is welcome to go along to lend a hand to the large creation and play a part in making the carnival a success.

Community Arts’ founder Su Cloud has begun to create the creature with 20 Felpham Community College pupils.

Headteacher Mark Anstiss said: “This is the second year running Su has worked with the art department and it is a great opportunity for our students to be a part of.

“We hope to top our creation from last year.

“We have many talented students and this fantastic occasion will highlight the artists among us.”

There is more work still to be done before the monster is scary enough to terrify bystanders at the town council-organised event on July 3.
