Workshops for over-50s

LOCAL Arts Charity Shaping Voices is offering a selection of workshops for people over 50 living in the Rye and Battle area who would like to explore their creative side.

Funded by the Big Lottery, the workshops will take place in Hastings and Bexhill during October and November. On offer are: singing, dance, drama, art, creative writing and two new workshops: art of reminiscence and photography.

A spokesperson for Shaping Voices said: “We would like to find out through these workshops what art forms are most popular amongst local residents. This will help us target the right funders so in the future we can offer tailor-made courses for older people who would like to learn a creative art form.
