World War I centenary the focus of Littlehampton history group
THE centenary, in 2014, of the outbreak of the First World War, will be the focus of Littlehampton Local History Society’s first meeting of the year on Saturday, January 11, at 2.30pm in the Friends’ Meeting House, Church Street, Littlehampton.
The afternoon’s speaker, Dr Alan Simmonds, will be talking about the war, and will also be promoting his book, Small Town, Great War.
