The first day of the competition is over, with two veteran flyers guaranteeing the £10,000 prize would be won tomorrow.
Tony Hughes flew 117.1 metres, before Ron Freeman glided his way to 159.8 metres.
Mrs Clarke confirmed the ‘cheque had been prepared’ and all that was left was to decide whose name is put on it on Sunday.
