Yobs turn on golfer who dared to speak out

The terrified man, who has asked not to be named, was attacked at Worthing Golf Club, in Links Road, on Friday while he and a friend played a round.

The man, from Worthing, had threatened to call police if a group of youths, who were on the course, didn't leave. But he says the five boys turned on him and subjected him to a horrifying assault leaving him in hospital for three days.

The 39-year-old is now staying with his parents in Worthing and is not only frightened to go out but is battling to cope with the fact his father is dying of cancer.
