Young Bognor cooks enjoy big bake-off

The youngsters took part in the competition run by Linda Charge the owner of Cake Magic, in Royal Parade, Bognor Regis.

“I like a lot of cake enthusiasts watch the cookery programmes and competitions on television and thought it would be a good idea if there was something like that for children to do, especially over the summer holidays,” said Linda.

The 30 entrants, were split into three age groups and given a box containing recipes, sprinkles and icing and to help them create their sugary treats.

Once they had finished the children brought their cakes back into the shop were the winners were decided by four judges.

Winners included Elliesha Walls, Oscar Webb, Emily Tite, Ollie Luxton, Lauren Searle, Katie Field Henna Cattermole, Pippa Spicer and Dana Williams.

Linda hopes to run similar competitions at Christmas and Easter.
