Young dancers from the Rye area enjoyed taking part in a Summer School held by Splitz Dance Academy at its Sports Centre studio.

Academy principal Stacey Caister said: “It involved singing, dancing and acting culminating in a performance which was enjoyed by all.

“With all students aged 2.5 years and upwards joining in and showcasing their talents not only in performance, but in prop making and design, it was a fun filled week which will now lead into a busy up and coming term for the school.”

The school is also celebrating success in the ISTD exam results with students gaining exceptionally high marks this year.

Stacey said: “Special mention goes to students who in their first ever exams have achieved marks in the 90’s- Summer Caister-Coules, Ruby Cook, Poppy Rockett and Bonnie Marchant-Davis.

“An outstandingly high mark was achieved by Coco Godden achieving a record for the school with 98 marks in her Modern Exam. “
