Young musicians to take part in the Queen's birthday celebrations
The event is The Patron’s Lunch, a celebration of the Queen’s lifetime dedicated to the service and patronage of more than 600 charities and organisations across the UK and Commonwealth.
The event also marks the occasion of her 90th birthday.
The Mall in St James’s Park will be transformed for the street party with 10,000 guests treated to a hamper-style lunch. Most of those attending will be from the charities and organisations to whom Her Majesty gives her patronage.

The 45 musicians, aged 13-18, will be the only school band to be part of this carnival style parade. Christ’s Hospital has enjoyed Royal patronage since its foundation in 1552.
The event will be shown on large screens setup in the nearby Royal Parks as well as being broadcast live on BBC One.
