Young Pioneers drive message

Last week was National Anti Bullying week and local charity Young Pioneers took to the road to show that it is “Cool to Care”.

Driving a Nissan Juke kitted out by SLM Nissan they travelled from Barnsley to Battle visiting schools to deliver an anti bullying message.

Young Pioneers was fouunded by Luke Lancaster when he was 12 years old after he was bullied at school.

The charity provides support and training for victims of bullying to progress in life and be successful.

The road tour was not only delivered training sessions for vulnerable young people it also launched the charity’s new appeal to raise funds for a sanctuary for victims of bullying. (www.ypsanctuary.org).

CEO and founder, Luke Lancaster said “We visited as many schools and young people as possible to show that you can overcome bullying.

“Our message was very simple stand up, stand strong and be a friend. You can see our promotional video on facebook at YPCharity. I must say it wouldn’t have been possible with out the support of SLM Nissan who kindly loaned us a vehicle.

“They have also agreed to make a donation to the Sanctuary appeal if customers mention Young Pioneers when buying their cars which is absolutely fantastic”
