Young volunteer Freddie’s helping make village bloom

Last year Storrington won the silver medal for the Village in Bloom competition with hopes to better that this year of course!

The Storrington in Bloom volunteers have been meeting up every weekend recently, to clear out last years dead plants, generally cleanup the planting areas, prepare for planting and last week, they brought in the plants and hanging baskets and planted up their displays.

There are a variety of volunteers of all ages including the pictured youngest volunteer – Freddie who came with his grandmother and helped out with clearing out the trugs and preparations for planting up.
