They are all from the Invicta Duke of Edinburgh Award Group, based at Beulah Baptist Church, and will be giving up their time to go to The Village Of Hope And Grace which is in Tanga, in the North East.

The building is still under construction and the team will be camping in the grounds.

Part of their job is to assist in the building of a boundary wall to increase the security of the site. Local labour will also be used.

At the same time the young people and their leaders are running two activity camps for orphas.

The children will be brought to the orphanage site which is where they may well be living on completion of the building. the orphans will get a week’s holiday during which they will take part in many activities such as art, craft, sports, singing, dancing, treasure hunts and campfires.

A good time and the experience of a lifetime should be had by all, according to organiser Rosemary Henley.
