Zany fun lined up around town forthe Hastings Storytelling Festival

Derek, Ernie and Dick are really bored of being good and decide it’s got to be more fun being a baddie.

But being an evil scientist, pirate or cowboy is trickier than they thought. Can the bumbling brothers learn how to stay out of jail and be real Bad Guys?

The Three Half Pints are stars of Comedy Club 4 Kids and Cbeebie’s Spot Bots.

Their brand new comic misadventure is packed with songs, slapstick, silliness and accidental derring do.

Performances take place on Monday November 7 at Sandown School, on The Ridge, at 7pm and at The Bridge Community Centre, Priory Road, on Tuesday November 8 at 7pm.

Both performances are free and are supported by Applause Rural Touring, the rural touring scheme for Kent and Sussex, and are suitable for all ages. Just come along on the night.

Since 2011, Hastings Storytelling Festival has celebrated the artistry and magic of storytelling through spoken word, dance, puppetry, parades, theatre, talks and digital media.

This year it runs from November 7 - 13 at venues around the town.

The programme includes stories for adults and children, a storyteller in residence, an artist in residence and a schools programme. The Festival patron is Sir Quentin Blake, the cartoonist and illustrator who is best known for illustrating books written by Roald Dahl

All events for children at the festival are free.

Other attractions at this year’s festival include an appearance by best-selling children’s author Dame Jacqueline Wilson at the White Rock Theatre.

Her books have sold over 39 million copies in the UK.

It concludes with a special Festival Day at the Stade Open Space, in the Old Town on November 13, which will include a medley of magical story tellers and a performance of The Ugly Duckling in the Stade Hall by Thingumajig theatre company.

The production includes beautiful puppet characters, live music, captivating story-telling and a generous sprinkling of theatre magic.

Children will take part in a colourful procession through the Old Town, with drums, masks and whistles at 12pm.
