What will the volunteers be doing?
The volunteers will simply be spending time with the pigs, showing them some much deserved love and attention, whether it be belly rubs or feeding them cookies.
They just love hanging out with humans and having people talk to them.

The downside to this role for UK residents is that it’s at Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary in South Carolina, USA.
But if you’re ever in that neck of the woods on a trip, or know anyone that lives in that area, it’s still worth keeping in mind.

The sanctuary shared their search for volunteers on a Facebook post, writing, "Do you want to help make a huge difference in the lives of the pigs of Cotton Branch?
"Come help socialize our adoptable residents so they can move into our adoption program with ease! Belly scratches, cookies, sitting with them and even just talking to our pig friends can get them ready for their new home."
The sanctuary usually looks after around 100 pigs at any time, alongside a range of other animals.

A recent Facebook post from the farm, after their original volunteer plea went viral, said, “WOW! That's what our team here at CB is saying! This past week has been incredible and we are so thankful so many want to volunteer with us!
“Just today, we are seeing such a difference in our unsocialized pigs after our first full day of Cuddlers! Your contribution means so much to them and us!

We encourage our followers to check the volunteer schedule and see what opens up. New spots in April have just been added. We also have had many cancellations that allow for people to volunteer with us!

The farm also offers Open House Tour dates, which are open to a wide range of ages, and allow guests to be “given the opportunity to feed, interact with, and learn about our rescued residents,” explains one of the Sanctuary’s recent Facebook posts.
