Lightning Fibre launches Full Fibre Broadband Winter Sale
Starting on November 1, 2024, the Lightning Fibre full fibre broadband winter sale includes speeds of up to 2,000Mbps or more at the modem – full fibre broadband designed to amaze.
Independent research by the company has also established that consumers value reliability as much as speed. The race to be the fastest is now also a race to more reliable broadband. The good news is that full fibre technology delivers both; a full fibre network is not just faster and more stable than an old copper-based broadband service, it’s also much more reliable. Vast amounts of data can be carried over long distances by fibre optics, unlike the older copper network. It’s also much better for the environment than the older technology. As a symmetric network, Lightning Fibre broadband delivers guaranteed upload and download speeds of 150Mbps or more at the modem.
A virtual landline (VoIP) service is available to Lightning Fibre customers, starting at just £7 per month.
An easy switch
They recently launched their One Touch Switch (OTS) which lets customers switch to Lightning Fibre quickly and easily; select OTS at checkout and Lightning Fibre will liaise with your current provider to manage your move you to Lightning Fibre, saving you time and reducing hassle. It means you don’t need to contact your current provider at all.
Ofcom has found that 43% of people have been put off switching as they think “it will be too time-consuming”. And the regulator’s research discovered of those who do switch, nearly a quarter (24%) who contact their current provider face unwanted attempts to persuade them to stay.
Great customer service, and choice
Customers are also now seeking exceptional customer service. With more choice of networks and providers, broadband providers have realised that serving customers properly is more important than ever. Lightning Fibre enjoys an ‘excellent’ rating on Trustpilot, and operates a Sussex-based customer service call centre, available every day from 8am to 8pm (except on Christmas Day), and a retail unit in Eastbourne, located in the Enterprise Shopping Centre, open Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm for customers who prefer to chat face to face.
Lightning Fibre covers Hastings, St Leonard’s, Hailsham, Eastbourne, Brighton and Hove, and Worthing.
The Internet Service Providers’ Association named Lightning Fibre the Best Consumer ISP with fewer than 50,000 customers in 2023, and the company is a finalist for the same award in 2024.
Lightning Fibre can give you a fixed price for 24 months, although 12 month and rolling contracts are available, and the company there is no annual inflation-busting price hikes every April. Although not part of the Winter Sale, 12 and 1 month rolling contracts still provide good value for money.
Rob Reaks, chief commercial officer, said: "This is the first time we have discounted all 24 month packages. One Touch Switching has made it easier than ever before to switch providers, as we talk to your old provider to move your service over to Lightning Fibre. We can typically install new broadband customers within a few weeks of placing an order, and every new customer gets a free month of service as part of this winter sale."

This package is available by phone or in person only, not online. It’s also available to existing customers, who can switch to the ‘social tariff’ at any point, without any early termination fees on an existing agreement with Lightning Fibre.
Josh Babarinde, MP for Eastbourne, commented:"Along with other challenges, cost plays a part in achieving digital inclusion for all. Locally the social tariff offered by providers like Lightning Fibre and others is critical to improving access to fast, affordable broadband.
So, if you've been waiting to switch to full fibre broadband, now's the time - the best prices for lightning-fast full fibre broadband, the most reliable broadband technology.
