Anglers to gather for open match at Pagham

Bognor Regis Amateur Angling Society are staging an open beach angling competition at Pagham this Sunday.

Booking-in and the draw begins at 7.30am at Pagham Yacht Club, West Front Road. Entry is £8 for seniors, £4 for OAPs and juniors and there’s an optional pool of £1 (flat fish) and £1 (round fish).

There’ll be a cash prize subject to the entry levels.

n The final round of the C division of the Three Counties Angling League was fished on Lythe Hill pond, near Haslemere.

Results: Teams: 1 Rother 27pts; 2 Bognor 23; 3 Oakhanger B 15. Individuals: 1 Andy King (Rother) 24lb 4oz, mainly carp on the pole, 2 Steve Worth (Rother) 17lb 9oz;

3 Kevin Dowell (Bognor) 10lb 2oz.
