Batsmen bowled over by new machine

BATSMEN at most levels will doubtless have experienced the frustration of being unable to hone their game partly due to inaccurate and inconsistent bowling in the nets.

But this could all be about to end because former Hastings Priory cricketer Tim van Noort has got his hands on a revolutionary BOLA Pro Bowling Machine.

Admittedly this type of technology has been around for nigh on 20 years but it is still not too common outside of county and international cricket, chiefly due to its not inconsiderable cost of more than 2,000. And its main asset is that it puts even the nagging line and length of Glenn McGrath to shame with its remarkable consistency.

With its easily adjustable speed and length, it's the ultimate practice device for all batsmen, particularly those wanting to work on a particular facet of their technique. It is also capable of delivering top class spinning and swinging deliveries providing the perfect workout for players of any standard.

"It's the best aid for batting coaching," former Sussex second XI cricketer and ECB level two qualified coach van Noort, who would like to thank William Parker Sports College for their support, summarised. "I used to do a lot of throw downs and I find this is so much more realistic. In my heart I've always known I've wanted to get one and the guys that have used it have said 'it's the best net practice I've ever had'."

Sussex's under-10s coach welcomes enquiries, anybody interested should contact him on 07734 115482. For further information log onto www.thecricketman.co.uk
