Bexhill complete Sunday double

A CROWD of close to 200 supporters turned out to witness a cracking Hastings & East Sussex Sunday Football League Demarco Cup final at the Pilot Field.

The clash between the top two in the league lived up to its billing and two late goals eventually clinched the double for Bexhill United.

Billy Trivett's side, who had done the league double over opponents Ridge West Garage, took a 29th minute lead through Mark Funnell. But the Mechanics remained in the hunt until the dying embers when Wes Tate and Alex Page rounded off a 3-0 victory.

United will have the chance to a complete the treble on Sunday, April 18 when they take on the same opponents in the final of the Peter Harris Memorial Trophy.
