Bexhill raring to get back to business

BEXHILL United are raring to get back down to business, according to manager Bill Trivett.

The Polegrove club is due to relaunch its Sussex Division Three promotion bid at Newhaven on Saturday January 8 having gone four weeks without a competitive fixture.

"Everyone's itching to get back started again," Trivett said. "There's been no loss of interest at all. They've all been training, we've kept them active. We just want to carry on from where we left off (back in December which they finished with a 10 match unbeaten run in the league)."

Trivett, pictured above, has a full squad at his disposal but Wes Tate will miss the Hastings FA Intermediate Cup match at Rye & Iden United II on January 22 and the home league game against Rustington Sports seven days later in light of his sending-off in a reserve team fixture before Christmas.

On the subject of the second string, Chas Tibbutt's charges entertain Newhaven on Saturday, kick-off 1.45pm.
