Karen Harrison was next in a spectacular 3.39, even more remarkable given the fact she had also competed in the Boston Marathon six days earlier.

Chris Gallagher and Ian Culton did well a week after running the Brighton marathon while Anna Enes with a new personal best of 3.44.

The Bluebell 10k, a few miles from Angmering, is a rare opportunity to explore the huge privately-owned Amgmering Park Estate. There was also the choice of a ten-mile race.

ToneZone provided 19 runners and first home in the 10k was Graham Lyne in 48 minutes. In the ten-mile race, Stephen Mcloughin came second.
