Bowled over by Bridges

PETER Bridges was the star performer at the Bexhill Bowling Club competition finals at the Polegrove Greens.

The event had to be held over two days, Friday and Saturday, because a number of players were involved in more than one final.

Bridges was kept especially busy because as he was involved in four finals - winning the singles championship and the triples where he was joined by A. Knell and F. Hobbs. He finished runner-up in both the two-wood singles which was won by T. Tappenden, and the drawn pairs won by F. Hobbs and M. Stone, where he was partnered by J. Irvine.
