Rotary club president Peter Stemp said: “This event has been held in the town for more than 30 and is used by many local businesses to mark the start of their Christmas activities. We are grateful for the continuing support these companies give us.”

Dave Larner, chief coach of the boxing club, said the evening was keenly anticipated each year by his boxers and he felt this year’s bouts had been of a particularly high standard.
