British Horse Society Award for riding club work

London and South East Riding Club volunteer Ann Foss has been honoured by The British Horse Society for her extensive contribution to London and South East Riding Clubs. Ann was one of 15 individuals or groups whose awards were announced at the ceremony at Saddlers' Hall, in the City of London. The venue for the awards was kindly provided by the Worshipful Company of Saddlers.

The British Horse Society's Chairman Patrick Print said: "With ceremonies such as this we publicly honour all our volunteers, who are the very bedrock of the BHS. They are the brave and the tireless, the brilliant and the unstoppable. And we recognise and honour the best work of professionals, companies and public servants who do so much to advance the interests of equestrianism. The Award winners are the perfect examples of this type."

Ann won the Leo Harris Award for outstanding service to the Riding Clubs Movement. The full citation reads:

"For 20 years Ann has always helped in a variety of different roles at club and Area level.
