Celebs and riders turn out in force to support fund

THE sun came out and spectators likewise for what turned out to be a great day for the Mark Davies Injured Riders' Fund at Hurtwood Park Polo Club near Cranleigh.

There was some spectacular polo and mounted games.

The fund was established in 1988 by Jane and Michael Davies, the parents of Mark Davies who died as a result of an accident at Burghley Horse Trials.

Rosemary Lang, director of the fund, was delighted with the success of the day, which had been held again after a gap of two years.
