The girls started strongly with a comfortable 4-0 win over Cumnor House. They then romped to victory with an 8-0 victory over Great Walstead B, where the girls played some great hockey and scored some excellent goals. In the final pool game, in a very tight end to end game, Holmewood House snatched a goal in the last 10 seconds to go through as the group winners.

Burgess Hill team went through in second place and faced Windlesham House A team. They got their tactics right and tried to mark Windlesham’s best player out of the game. It was another closely fought game but with a great break away individual goal from Windlesham House A team, Burgess Hill lost out on a place in the final. All the girls played their part and with a little bit of luck might have come away with a medal.
