Common hosts cricket qualifier

SUCH is the improvement in facilities at Little Common Cricket Club that they were awarded the area qualifier for the Sussex Schools Tournament for the first time.

The event, being sponsored by Davies & Tate for the 12th consecutive year, has been running for many years and it is a tribute to the hard work put in by the club's members that it has finally found a home at Peartree Lane.

The Sussex County Cricket Club-organised competition was one of eight taking place throughout the county and the winners of each will converge on the County Ground, Hove, for the finals on July 6.
