Cooden crash out of Davies & Tate
COODEN Beach's bid for glory in the Davies & Tate Sussex Inter-Club Matchplay Golf Championships came to an end at the hands of Bognor.
Cooden made a bad start to the quarter-final, going down 31/2-1/2 in the morning foursomes.
Things didn't get any better in the singles as only David Warden managed a win for an overall 101/2-11/2 defeat.
Highwoods roped to an 8-4 victory over Cottesmore in the first round of the Plate competition.
Their reward is an away tie at East Brighton.
