In their recent pre season tour to Abu Dhabi he came back to haunt Sussex hitting a match winning 112 not out against the county. The 20 year old from Cuckfield who also plays for East Grinstead in the premier league smashed the runs off only 116 balls under the lights at the Sheik Zayed Stadium. Grahams innings helped the MCC YC set a total of 260-6 from their 50 overs.

The wickets for Sussex were shared one a piece for Lewis Hatchett, Steve Magoffin, Chris Liddle, Luke Wells and young seamer Tim Mosses. In a tight finish Sussex fell short in their reply by 2 runs with runs coming from Mike Yardy [54], Will Beer [61] and Stefan Piolet [53no].

In his final game ahead of the start of the 2nd XI county championship Graham was in the runs again hitting 104 against the Unicorns at Falkland. On his pre season rich vein of form Ollie said: “I have worked hard all winter in the nets and the gym so it’s great that this is paying off. Before going to Abu Dhabi I spent some time at Northants which was very challenging but taught me a lot.

“Our first championship match starts against Surrey next week, these are the games I need to continue scoring runs in. My ambition remains to secure a full time county contract.”
