Priory win again to hit front

Reigning champions Hastings Priory have gone top of the Sussex Cricket League.

Priory won by four wickets in a low-scoring Premier League game away to East Grinstead on Saturday to overtake a Horsham side beaten by Preston Nomads.

Spin bowlers Mick Glazier and Josh Poysden took four wickets each as Grinstead were all out for 138 batting first before Matt Machan hit 47 and Adam Maharaj-Newman 30 to guide Priory home.

Sidley were pipped off the final ball of an incredible Division Two game at home to Glynde & Beddingham. Neil Priddy made 132 not out and Paul Swannell 136 not out as Sidley amassed 351-4 declared batting first, yet it wasn’t quite enough.

Crowhurst Park have gone top of Division Three (East) after seeing off Keymer & Hassocks by nine wickets. Richard Coleman took 3-3 as Keymer were all out for 164 batting first and Martin Barry smashed 105 in reply.
