Sharks targeting top spot in CB40 ahead of Falcons clash

SUSSEX Sharks will look to regain their place at the summit of Group C in the Clydesdale Bank 40 this evening (Wednesday) when they travel to Derby to take on Derbyshire Falcons in a floodlit affair (4.40pm start).

The Sharks are still unbeaten in the competition and lie only a point behind Warwickshire Bears in the table, who they will host at The PROBIZ County Ground, Hove next week in a mouthwatering clash.

Sussex’s last outing in the competition saw them beat Northamptonshire Steelbacks by eight wickets at Arundel Castle, as Chris Liddle took four wickets and Murray Goodwin hit an unbeaten 67.

The Sussex squad is as follows: Amjad Khan, Will Beer, Ben Brown, Joe Gatting, Murray Goodwin, Naveed Arif Gondal, Ed Joyce, Chris Liddle, Matt Machan, Chris Nash, Monty Panesar, Kirk Wernars and Michael Yardy.
