Davis suffers another last eight exit
The St Leonards cueman saw his good progress at the Players Championship Grand Final in Thailand brought to an end by a 4-1 loss against Stuart Bingham this morning (Friday).
World number nine Bingham, incidentally, had also beaten 19th-ranked Davis 4-0 at the same stage of the 888.com World Grand Prix in Wales seven days previously.

Hide AdDavis didn’t score a point in the opening frame as Bingham clinched it with a top break of 49, but hit back to comfortably claim the second. The 42-year-old scored just 12 points thereafter, though, as Bingham sealed victory helped by runs of 52, 101, 49 and 82.
For the second successive event, Davis defeated world number two Neil Robertson in the second round and he also pulled off a fine win over sixth-ranked Ricky Walden in round one.
With the tournaments continuing to come thick and fast, Davis will now head to China for the China Open. He is due to face Kyren Wilson in round one on Monday,
