Days of Pleasure is a winner at Fontwell

FONTWELL Park is proving to be a happy hunting ground for trainer Chris Gordon, who has sent out five winners at the track since he started training over the border in Hampshire in 2007.

Last week's meeting at the award-winning track was no exception, when a good crowd braved bitter easterly winds to enjoy a fine day's racing.

Chris saddled up Days of Pleasure to win the Hands and Heels Jumps Series handicap hurdle at 9-1, It was a particularly notable victory, for in the saddle was amateur rider Tom Cannon, who was scoring his first win Under Rules to add to a number of point to point victories.

Tom (18) comes from a family steeped in riding history.
