The boot was on the other foot in quarter 3 as Eagles built a slender one point lead to take into the final quarter.

It was then the moment of truth and it looked like Spartans were going to emerge the winners as in the opening six minutes they took a 72-61 lead.

The odds were stacked against Eagles but they rose to the challenge superbly and a 12-0 run took them ahead with two minutes remaining.

They then cashed in with a 12-6 advantage in the final two minutes to complete victory.
