Falcons soar to runners-up spot at Southampton tournament
Up against Oxford, London, Guernsey and Portsmouth, the Falcons chalked up five wins and one loss – although the second day was cut short at an early stage because of heavy rain.
Rookies Amelia Peachment and Clive Janes quickly established themselves as fully-fledged Falcons and stood toe-to-toe with seasoned softballers, while home runs from Ben Sawkins, Belinda Cheetham, James Clarke, Matt Tebb, David Morris and James Wheeler helped demolish the opposition as the Falcons put in consistent, solid performances.
