Familiar feel to cup clash
THERE will be a few players looking to put one over on their old side when Sidley United visit Dr Martens team St Leonards in the Hastings FA Senior Cup on Monday October 14.
Ex-Saints among the United line-up include Adam Day, Dave Ward, Russell Eldridge and Brad Poole, the last two re-signing for The Blues from St Leonards in the last couple of weeks.
The connections don't end there, both joint-managers Peter Heritage and Glen Sully graced The Firs in their playing days.
Heritage said: "It is going to be great. Local pride is at stake more than anything else and we will fire the players up for it." Kick-off 7.30pm.
