FIFTH PLACE IS UNACCEPTABLE
THE signing of England training squad member Steve Vear by Worthing Thunder is part of the organisation's reaction to finishing fifth in the English Basketball League last season.
The Kingston-based university student guard, 22, operates at either the shooting or the point position and assistant-coach Alan Sweetman-Hicks explained: "Fifth was unacceptable, despite reaching the National Trophy Final and the National Cup semis."
