First ever back to back triumph in Rocky 3 Reds Trophy

The first frame of the evening saw 12 year old Callum Wolfe making his debut and he did not disappoint when he took out Lawrence Cowley-Stein then to move on to meet the mighty Mark Coles in the next round. Wolfe showed his potential when he made his highly rated opponent work hard but was unable to oust Coles.

The large festive audience was now in good spirit and awaited in awe to watch the first ever ladies playoff. The wily Jenny Waterman flowed into an early lead then to see the tenacious Tina Janman strike back by taking the green, brown and blue in sequence then to move on to meet Rick Burrows in the next round. It was an extremely tight frame against the thoroughbred Burrows which saw Janman going for a black ball finish but was so unlucky to lose when the cue ball ended up in the pocket.

Burrows drove on confidently to the semi final but to lose out to the talented teenager Dan Cowley-Stein, the second semi final saw the stylish Stuart Williamson losing out to the dangerous David Page.

The final went to an exciting black ball finish with the young Cowley-Stein losing out to Page who became the champion for the second year in succession.

The entry fees and the contributions from the Chilli Chocolate Roulette, which saw Jenny Waterman enjoying the mouth watering chilli chocolate, raised £61 which will be used for equipment required in the snooker room.
