FOOTBALL: County League round-up (December 6)

SHOREHAM and Arundel's FA Vase dreams ended on Saturday (December 6) when they exited at the third-round stage.

Mussels lost to a last-minute goal at Colchester-based side Stanway Rovers, and Arundel lost 4-1 at home to Cogenhoe United. Click here for a match report from Arundel's game.

Wick moved up to fourth in County League Division 1 with a 1-0 win over third-placed Three Bridges. Steve Davies netted Wick's goal after 34 minutes.

At the bottom of the table, there were wins for both East Preston and Worthing United, who won for the first time this season.

Bottom-club United won 2-1 at third-bottom East Grinstead with Gavin Geddes on target.

EP scored twice in the last minute to defeat high-flying Ringmer 3-2. George Gaskin, Seb Keet and Terry Dodd hit EP's goals.

In Division 2, Littlehampton stormed to a 6-0 win over Sidlesham. Mark Burgess hit a hat-trick, with Marcus Robertshaw, Nathan Peacock and Richie Hellen also on target.

Southwick defeated Rustington 2-1 with goals from Nick Green and James Wotherspoon. Duncan Barnes scored Blues' consolation with three minutes left.

Mile Oak scored twice in the last 10 minutes to defeat Sidley 2-1. Lloyd Skinner and Danny Curd hit Oak's goals.

Two late Loxwood goals gave them a 2-1 win over Lancing. Dan Griffin was on target for Lancers.

Storrington lost 2-1 at home to leaders Seaford. Richard Ayres scored Swans' goal in the last minute.

Steyning Town suffered a 3-1 reverse at Rye United. Chris Duffett struck for Town.

Clymping remain top of Division 3 after a 2-0 victory over Ifield Edwards. Adam Westwood and Joe Shelley scored for Clymping.
