FOOTBALL: Short and Withers resign from Rustington
They took over in October when Blues were second from bottom and led the club to a 13th-placed finish with nine wins, six draws and seven defeats from their 22 league games in charge.
But Short said: "It's too much hard work and is like a second job and it's the same for Terry.

"I enjoyed it, though. We came in when the club was second from bottom and struggling, and we've managed to keep them up.
"We've had some good results. I enjoyed the 3-2 win at Littlehampton over Easter when we were 2-0 down at half-time, and beating Rye and Sidley were good results as well. But now it's time for someone else to have a chance here."
Blues chairman John Virgoe is still hopeful that Short will change his mind, though, and said: "I'm hoping to talk Kev around, but I don't think Terry will change his mind. They both did a very good job. All the players want Kev to stay and so do I."

Hide AdShort and Withers' last game in charge was at Lancing on Monday when Blues lost 2-1.
Darren Boswell gave Lancers a 31st-minute lead but Rustington levelled when Rob Butcher found James Bennett, who curled his effort from the left into the top corner for his 11th goal of the season.
Lancing got the winner with nine minutes left, after a catalogue of errors from Rustington, and Dan Griffin pounced to score.
On Saturday, Rustington went down 4-0 at Little Common.
Common went ahead through Jared Lusted, and Charles Lister doubled the lead on the half-hour mark.
It was 3-0 shortly before half-time when Lewis Hole netted.
