46 photos and goal video as Worthing FC go step nearer National South title with big win over Dagenham and Redbirdge

The pressure was on – their lead was theirs, albeit on goal difference. But could Worthing win at home to Dagenham and Redbridge to take a step nearer the big prize of the National League South title and automatic promotion to the National Premier?

After a bit of a false start, the answer was an emphatic yes as they ran out 7-2 winners in front of a huge and bouyant Woodside Road crowd.

The Daggers took the lead but Jack Spong and Wiktor Makowski turned it round to 2-1 before half an hour was up and Makowski scored again just after the break.

After the Daggers scored again, it was all Worthing as Teddy Jenks, Callum Morton, Joe Cook and Brad Dolaghan made the points safe and boosted the Rebels’ goal difference.
