Chris Hughton's side endured a frustrating afternoon at Wolves, having chances to make it seven wins from their opening eight league games, but seeing them go wanting.

Tomer Hemed had arguably their best opportunity to get on the scoreboard from the penalty spot in the first half, but his effort was too close to Wolves goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who saved the shot. The home side were also reduced to 10 men early in the second half, but the Seagulls were unable to capitalise on the sending off.

While some Albion fans may have been unhappy settling for the draw, there are still positives to take away from Molineux. Albion are the only side in the division that remains unbeaten, and maintains a reasonable lead at the top of the table - three points from second-place Middlesbrough.

With Sam Baldock's presence up front having been missed last Saturday, supporters will be buoyed by the news the forward is likely to return from a minor head injury for the trip to the Macron Stadium as Albion take on a Trotters side who look like they will be in a relegation fight once again this season.

The problem Neil Lennon's side have is plain to see - a lack of firepower. The division's lowest scorers have found the back of the net only four times in eight games, with their situation having got worse after losing strikers Zack Clough and Emile Heskey to injury in recent weeks.

Despite the cards seemingly being stacked in Albion's favour ahead of the game, they can't afford to underestimate any side in this league. As Rotherham proved against Cardiff last weekend, the Championship is still a place where bottom can feasibly beat top on any given day.
