Almost a month off for some
After New Year’s Day postponements, there was more bad news for the area’s football clubs as continuing heavy rain washed out Saturday’s programme.
While County League clubs Hassocks and St Francis Rangers have not played since December 14, Haywards Heath did at least get in a game on the Saturday after Christmas, while Ryman League Burgess Hill played twice post-Christmas.
Even so, Hillians are getting behind with their fixtures and Tuesday’s postponed visit to Redhill adds to the backlog.
Max Howell has signed for fellow Ryman South club Worthing, now managed by Ian Chapman’s former assistant Adam Hinshelwood.
