Appy '˜disappointed' by sloppy Blues
Michael Appleton was left bitterly disappointed after his team's unbeaten run was ended by Stevenage.
Two defensive lapses gifted Lamex Stadium hosts a 2-1 success, with Filipe Morais grabbing a brace of goals either side of Jon Harley’s strike.
It was harsh on Pompey who deserved at least a point from a bright performance away from home.
Appleton said: ‘I’m so disappointed with that.
‘We played some really good football at times tonight.
‘They defended really well against us, all credit to them for that, and we had enough opportunities.
‘We deserved more than we got and there were definitely plenty of positives to take out of the performance.’
