Just when Eastbourne Borough thought they could end their near month-long break from action, they have another Saturday devoid of competitive football.

A 'possible positive Covid test' in the Billericay camp means the Essex side have cancelled their scheduled visit to Priory Lane today (Jan 9).

A Borough statement said: ""e are very sorry to announce that Borough's National South fixture, scheduled for Saturday 9th January, has been POSTPONED following a possible positive COVID test in the Billericay Town camp.

"Refunds will be made to all supporters who had subscribed to the scheduled live stream.

"Borough's National South fixture with Maidstone United, on Tuesday 12th January - kick-off 7.45 at Priory Lane, is unaffected by this announcement."

Danny Bloor's team have not played since December 15 - and not been in action in the league since December 12.
