Bridle and Pattenden hailed as Chichester City enjoy biggest Southern League win yet
Chichester City’s bosses hailed the impact Lucas Pattenden and Harry Bridle have had as they toasted their biggest win of the season to date.
Ex-Gillingham striker Bridle has hit the ground running since moving to Oaklands Park and his hat-trick headlined a 4-0 home win over Chippenham Town in the Southern League Premier South.
Pattenden, the former Littlehampton, Bognor and Horsham attacker, made his City debut and was involved in two goals in the victory, in which Isaac Bello scored the other goal.
City have won two and lost two so far and coach Darin Killpartrick said it was a pleasing win over Chippenham.

“Lucas is someone we’ve been trying to sign for five years and we’re delighted to get him in. He fits into the squad really well and is already showing his quality,” he said.
“As for Harry, it was great to see him score three. He’s another we’ve wanted to sign for a long time who’s now showing why we went after him.”
Killpartrick said they were not getting ahead of themselves after a couple of early wins in their new league, which he said would continue to test them.
The bank holiday weekend brings a trip to Hanwell Town on Saturday and a home derby with Havant & Waterlooville on Monday – with Killpartrick warning that two games in 48 hours was asking a lot of their small squad.
Meanwhile in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup, Chi will visit Broadfields United of the Combined Counties League Premier North.
