'A game changer' - Decision made as 'wonderful' winger returns to Brighton

Brighton winger Benicio Baker-Boaitey has returned to the Seagulls following a five-month loan stint with League Two outfit Port Vale.
Baker-Boaitey, who joined Vale at the start of the new season, made 14 appearances in all competitions, with the majority coming from the bench.

Hide AdThe 20-year-old has struggled with injuries of late and as a result had already returned to Brighton to receive treatment.
Despite his troubles, he left a good impression on Port Vale boss Darren Moore. “Firstly, I would like to thank Benicio for his time with the club and Brighton and Hove Albion for entrusting us with his development throughout the last few months,” said Moore to the club’s website.
“He has showcased wonderful ability to get supporters off their seat and to be a real game changer when on his game and has the attitude to go on and fulfil his potential within the game.
“He leaves the club with nothing but the very best wishes from everybody here at Vale Park. Thank you and good luck, Beni!”

Baker-Boaitey joined the Seagulls from FC Porto in 2024 and has made six appearances for the Brighton first team.
